To celebrate International Yoga Day, Yas Plaza Hotels has prepared a sunrise yoga class followed by a meditation and breathwork session for only AED99 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Tuesday, June 21. The package is inclusive of a healthy breakfast at Hub Kitchen with access to the Staybridge Suites pool and personalized giveaways.
International Yoga Day was established to raise worldwide awareness on the benefits of this ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. This year’s theme is “Yoga for Humanity,” a response to the effects of the pandemic on people’s overall health and relationships and an encouragement to find balance by embracing the practice. As the UN says, “yoga emphasizes the values of mindfulness, moderation, discipline, and perseverance. When applied to communities and societies, Yoga offers a path for sustainable living.”
On this occasion, Yas Plaza Hotels will organize a yoga along with a meditation and breathwork session on June 21 from 8:30am onwards, suitable for all levels. The Yoga class will be conducted by Natalie Hildon, a holistic health practitioner with over 25 years of experience in the wellness industry. She holds a 500hr Yoga Alliance qualification, Pilates Matwork Level 2, over 20 different Fitness Industry qualifications, a Level 1 certification in Naturopathic Nutrition, and most recently she was certified as a Freedom From Self Sabotage Coach.
Zelmaré Viljoen, the founder of Soul & Skin Wellness will also be conducting a medication and breathwork session. She has completed over 500hrs of yoga certification training courses and also Pre and Postnatal certification, various meditation courses, and SMR therapies. She is an advocate for bringing awareness to women’s health and healing for the physical, mental, and emotional body through wellness treatments.
To make this day more memorable, the team will be giving out personalized giveaways designed by the talented artist Fosca, who is a passion-pursuer living with a mission of encouraging self-expression through creative experiences. She has previously exhibited her unique art collection at World Art Dubai and for this event, will be painting sustainable tote bags on-site for each participant.
Guests are requested to bring their mats and towels as strict Covid protocols will be followed. Sanitized mats will be on hand for those who do not have their own.
Those looking for a healthy breakfast can indulge in a mix of salads, juices, and sandwiches that will be available at Hub Kitchen and participants can also stay longer to enjoy the rest of the day with pool access at Staybridge Suites.
