Originated by “The” Mrs. Astor – the founder of the first St. Regis in New York to host intimate gatherings with her closest friends – afternoon tea at The St. Regis is a timeless tradition. The stunning beachside resort strengthens its “Live Exquisite” approach with these menus, enabling guests to make the most of their afternoon with an extraordinary dining experience.
Priced at AED 195, the ‘Classic’ menu is ideal for those who wish to enjoy the famous St. Regis High Tea, while the ‘Local’ afternoon tea menu takes inspiration from the region’s favorite desserts. Younger guests visiting the lobby lounge are also treated to a bespoke ‘Tiny’ afternoon tea menu for AED 120.
Creating an unforgettable space to gather and socialize with friends and family, the Classic set offers a wide selection of savories such as smoked salmon, Coronation chicken, egg salad and roast beef. Freshly baked scones are served with Cornish clotted cream and a selection of fruit preserves.
For a sweet finish, there is an array of handmade desserts like traditional English fruit cake, choux buns, fruit tartlets, date pudding and lemon meringue.
For those who wish to enjoy traditional Middle Eastern flavors, the Local afternoon tea menu switches the sweets for local delicacies such as the pistachio Burma, baloria baklava, mafroukeh and the Levant classic, Aish El Saraya.
The Tiny tea menu for children features a delightful spread of sweet and savory dishes like sandwiches, cakes, cupcakes, macarons, popsicles and freshly baked scones.
Women in the capital get one more reason to celebrate at The Drawing Room with their friends and family. On August 28, the venue runs a special offer for the afternoon tea, where Emirati ladies can enjoy four sets for the price of two.
