With the Valentine’s Day just around the corner, The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, known for its extravagance and opulence, has unveiled exclusive experiences that are inspired by love. From intimate dining setup at the beach, to artfully presented dishes and indulgent spa treatments, the iconic hotel is the ideal destination to celebrate the most romantic day of the year.
An Italian Affair at Villa Toscana
For this year’s Valentine’s Day, Chef Rosario Martorana has rolled up his sleeves to prepare a blissful meal reminiscent of the Italian grandeur. Set against the amorous setting of Italian elegance, each dish on the special menu is inspired by romance and hinting notes of chocolates, roses and shades of red.
The chic affair begins with guest’s arrival as they are greeted and escorted to their candle lit dinner table. Once seated, a journey of love takes place through a menu of Amuse-bouches or starters, hand-crafted pasta, slow-cooked meats and indulgent desserts.
The Valentine’s Day menu is the result of creativity and imagination of the talented Chef Rosario and is manifested in plates filled with Italian sophistication and comfort. The menu features hors d’oeuvres such as Porto Santo Spirito Red Prawns, Emulsion of Passion Fruit, Fresh Coriander, Coconut Foam; and Red Petal Rose, Veal sliced, and Ventresca Juniper Sauce. Paying homage to his Italian heritage, the menu also includes regional delicacies of Pasta with Smoked Herrings, Carrots Crème Spaghetti, Lemon Candid, Breadcrumbs with Garlic and Thyme and Risotto preserved with Prosecco, Gorgonzola, and Mustard Jam of Pears.
In shades of red, the main course features Marinated Venison Tenderloin and ends with a sweet dessert of White Chocolate Mousse and a red heart.
The Valentine’s Day menu at Villa Toscana is available from 7PM to 11PM and costs AED 420 per person excluding the drinks.
An Oceanic Romance at Catch at St. Regis
Chef Remon Nabil, famed for his expertise in fusion cooking, has artfully curated a 5-course menu that serves occidental seafood and prime cuts with the finest local produces overlooking spectacular views of the Abu Dhabi corniche.
Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed with a selection of signature drinks at the main bar. They will then be escorted to a beautifully laid table where each course will be introduced and explained by a dedicated server.
Using coveted ingredients to create aphrodisiac palate combinations, each dish is an ode to the mighty ocean. The celebratory menu includes starters such as A Farewell Kiss from The Sea (Salmon Torch Roll, Volcano Maki Roll, Prawn and Wagyu Nigiri); On the Path to Nostalgia (Octopus Carpaccio with Red Pepper Coulis, Avocado and Passion Fruit Dressing); and A Feeling Of ‘Déjà Vu’ (Linguine with Prawns, Crustacean Emulsion, Galangal and Lemongrass).
The main course offers an impressive selection between Exploring the Ocean’s Depth (Toothfish with Roasted Salsify, Baby Zucchini, Caviar, and Saffron Yuzu Butter Sauce) and Unwrapping A Gift of Life (Wagyu Beef, Foie Gras, Celeriac Truffle Puree, and Perigourdine Sauce).
As for the dessert, creations aptly named as A Moment of Cherry-Celebration (Amarena Cherry, Vanilla Mousse, and Dark Chocolate Cremeux) and Dreaming Under the Stars Light (Chocolate Brownie, Mint Chocolate Mousse, and Strawberry Bavarois) will end the meal on a sweet note.
The Valentine’s Day menu at Catch at St. Regis is priced at AED 550 per person with soft beverages and AED 750 per person with grapes and hops. The dinner service starts from 6.30PM onwards.
Dining in Private Bamboo Tipi by the Beach
For guests looking to elevate their experience, an evening of romantic indulgence awaits along the 200-meter private beach of the Nation Riviera Beach Club. Savour in a night filled with tasteful menu, creative drinks and a romantic ambiance while dining under the moonlit sky in a private bamboo tent.
Experience sheer extravagance and privacy as only 10 beach bamboo tipis are available for booking. Set along the dramatic backdrop of Abu Dhabi’s shoreline, the ambiance inside the tipi exudes romance with chandeliers.
