The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi, has unveiled an array of exceptional treats and experiences for all the senses. From experimental brunches to exclusive masterclasses, the beachfront resort’s curated offerings for March are designed to suit all tastes and interests.
Grills and Tagines at Olea’s Terrace
Overlooking the resort and the Arabian Gulf, Olea has opened its terrace to host evenings dedicated to Grills and Tagines. With live grill stations as well as tagine, tandoor and slider cooking corners, it provides the perfect opportunity for friends and families to come together and make most of the cooler temperatures.
Complimentary for children under 12 years, the menu includes mouth-watering dishes such as Chilean asado lamb belly roulade with pebre, African braai beef brisket, bacon-wrapped nürnberger, Brazilian picanha and Iranian kabab koobideh.
Meanwhile, the tagines feature a wide variety of exciting ingredients; from vegetable, chicken and olive, to indulgent lamb shank and beef short rib. For those craving even more spice, the Tandoori station offers a plethora of kebabs such as Indian Mughlai chicken tangri, tandoori quail, lamb sheekh, tandoori prawn, paneer tikka, and all come accompanied by grilled vegetables and Persian naans.
For something more American-inspired, the sliders station offers tempting options such as blue cheese steak burgers, chicken tikka sliders, lamb sliders, chicken chipotle hot dogs, smoked beef hot dogs, and vegetarian hot dogs, all served with sweet potato chipotle and truffle and parmesan fries.
Finally, those with a sweet tooth will adore the lavish dessert station, featuring treats such as apple tart, éclairs, chocolate fudge, mixed berry pavlova, soft ice cream and crepes.
The Grills and Tagines experience is open to enjoy every Thursday and Friday from 4pm till 11pm. Packages start from AED 220 per person for all-you-can-eat (valid for three hours). Children under 12 years eat free.

Crabs and Curries at Sontaya
Seafood lovers will be beyond excited when they see the special new Crabs and Curries menu at Sontaya, curated by the romantic venue’s Chef de Cuisine, Narongrit Thongwijit.
With over 16 years’ experience in the luxury hospitality industry, Thai Chef Narongrit
Thongwijit specialises in South East Asian cuisine. His passion for creating ever-evolving menus allows him to experiment with modern flavour combinations and produce unique tastes, and his finest creations can be found on the Crabs and Curries menu.
Placing a spotlight on the freshness of the ingredients and the evolving spices, the à la carte menu tempts seasoned enthusiasts with dishes such as fried soft-shell crab with citrus butter, black pepper mud crab, blue crab yellow curry and wok-fried crab.
Meanwhile, the Curries menu boasts an assortment of flavours and pays homage to the spices and seasonings of traditional South East Asian cuisine. The tempting line-up features dishes such as sea bass yellow curry, five spice duck curry, esaan chicken curry, and wagyu short ribs curry.
The Crabs and Curries à la carte menu is available from 1st to 31st March from 6pm till midnight.

Sensology – The Art of Tasting Whisky at The Manhattan Lounge
Renowned for its smooth and fruity texture, Glenlivet is famous for being the original producer of single malt Scotch whisky. This month, The Manhattan Lounge is excited to host ‘Sensology – The Art of Tasting Whisky’, an exclusive experience led by Glenlivet brand ambassador Michael White.
Taking place on Wednesday, March 10, fans of the smooth Scottish beverage will be taken on a journey that explains the art of whisky tasting. Setting the mood for the evening, the night starts with a welcome cocktail concocted exclusively for the experience, The Last King. Aptly named, the cocktail mixes Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve with pineapple syrup, and is served alongside a range of delicate canapés. Pineapple was chosen as it has long been held as a symbol of hospitality and also perfectly highlights the smooth, fruity style of Glenlivet whisky.
To truly appreciate the craft and skill that goes into making each whisky, guests will be invited compare the rich scents of each beverage to ingredients such as orange zest and coffee beans and be able to taste single malt Glenlivet 12, 15 and 18 throughout the evening.
Finally, the experience concludes with The Glenlivet Molecular Cocktail, featuring one of the new ranges of whisky varieties that offers an explosion of exciting flavours.
Taking place on Wednesday, March 10 from 7pm to 9pm, packages for the event cost AED 275 per person. Only 20 seats are available, and reservations are mandatory.

The Masterclass at Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi
A purveyor of Nikkei cuisine, Chef De Cuisine Renzo Martin Reyes has designed a special masterclass to allow Abu Dhabi residents and visitors to learn how to create a series of gastronomic delights, and of course sample them themselves.
Guests will be able to witness his culinary expertise as he prepares Ceviche Limeño (seabass, aji amarillo, leche de tigre, shambal quinoa cracker) during the masterclass, while Head Sushi Chef Suntron Bangjan prepares the Maki Acevichado.
After the class, guests will be able to relish a three-course set menu serving the Ceviche, BBQ Nikkei Wagyu Short Ribs (served with wasabi potato, fresh asian salad) and The Coconut (a sweet treat boasting the tropical tastes of coconut, mango and pineapple).
The masterclass takes place on March 6 and March 20 between 12pm and 3pm. Including a three-course set lunch with soft drinks, packages are available for up to 10 people costing AED 195 per person.

Omakase (or in Japanese, お任せ) is a phrase that, when used with a sushi order, means “I’ll leave it up to you”. So, at Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi, the Omakase menu is in essence the Japanese version of a Chef’s Table menu.
This March, Chef Zuzumo, Corporate Chef of Buddha-Bar Worldwide, will be preparing a seven-course set menu featuring exclusive dishes that are not available on the regular menu.
Born in Lima, Peru, Chef Zuzumo’s heritage is much like Nikkei cuisine – a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cultures. Passionate about the fine art of Nikkei cooking, he borrows flavours, products, techniques and disciplines from both cuisines and serves them up in spectacular style. For him, Nikkei Cuisine is not a trend, but a culture that develops from generation to generation.
Chef Zuzumo says: “Discipline is the most important skill required to hone the Asian cuisine. There is a Japanese proverb that says ‘Discipline, sooner or later, will overcome intelligence’. I strongly live by that proverb and believe that if you have the skill or the intelligence but lack the discipline to cultivate and improve, it will not serve you in life.”
Guests can feast on gastronomic delights brought to the table and enjoy a personal introduction to the Nikkei cuisine from the Chef himself. The Omakase menu starts with wagyu robata nigiri served with caviar and gold leaves, ebitemp crab maki comprised of mango mayo, prawn tempura and tuna, and wagyu Nikkei tataki served with tajima +9, yuzu ponzu and garlic flakes.
The indulgent affair then continues with ebi robatayaki tossed in anticuchera sauce and presented with wasabi salsa, pan-seared shake presented in coconut sauce with king mushroom, matcha, and salmon and Tajima 9+ wagyu teppanyaki composed of nishiki rice, carrot, and snow pea. Finally, the experience concludes with a dessert of seasonal fruits.
The Omakase with Chef Zuzumo is available on March 24 and 25, from 8pm onwards and on 27 March, from 12pm onwards with packages available for AED 395 per person.

Brunch with Chef Zuzumo at Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi

The Drawing Room at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort offers the perfect opportunity for tea afficionados to discover the different blends and varieties of Tchaba Tea.
From the month of March onwards, every guest ordering an afternoon tea will be invited to try one of the drinks from the fantastic range on the tea trolley. The tea sommelier will present the trolley at the table and explain the different varieties of Tchaba Tea, such as herbal, back and fruity, all found on the à la carte menu.
While brewing the tea as to each individuals liking, the sommelier introduces each blend along with their benefits. Visitors are also able to choose between the traditional sweet and savoury favourites on the Classic Afternoon Tea spread, or Arabic-inspired specialties with the Local Afternoon Tea option.
