Throughout the summer months, Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi is set to be the location of choice for those looking to treat themselves to a collection of dining, stay and wellness offerings themed around the season.
One such experience, aptly named ‘Shangri-La’s Day in Paradise’ is set to be the perfect way to spend a summers day by the pool or on the shores of the pristine private beach that sits right in front of the hotel. Starting from 1 June, guests will be invited to enjoy a day pass that can be used between 10 am and 6 pm, which will treat them to a bottle of house grape or a bucket of hops accompanied by a sumptuous platter designed for poolside grazing. The platter features a selection of bites made up of fresh and seasonal produce that has been sustainably sourced. Guests are sure to enjoy the Fresh Summer Vietnamese Rolls and the Lemongrass Chicken Thigh Satay served alongside a Teriyaki and Peanut sauce. This package will be priced at just AED208 for adults, whilst children below the age of six will go for free and those between six and twelwe can enjoy the facilities for just AED60.
Shangri-La is set to align this pool and beach day package with World Ocean Day on 8 June, joining a worldwide movement of citizens to raise awareness about the impact of human actions on the ocean. As part of this launch, Shangri-La will be giving away OceanZen swimsuits to the first 10 people to make reservations on the day.
Designed by environmental scientist Steph Gabriel, these limited-edition swimsuits feature a flattering V neckline and low scooped back and are inspired by the Shangri-La Maldives marine conservation coral restoration program. They are made from sustainable fabric repurposed from abandoned fishing nets and plastic bottles found in the ocean.
