Say hello, then, to our new Gin Fizz and Tacos nights, which are already making the right sort of waves in Abu Dhabi’s after dark scene. Soak up the magnificent views across the waters of the Arabian Gulf as chilled beats caress your ears and a delicious array of tacos are served while refreshing fizzy cocktail beverages are dispensed from our cool, retro Airstream van– there’s no finer way to spend an evening in good company.
What’s on the menu? A whole lot of things the palate will fall in love with, like a hand-pulled 12-hour brisket in a crispy shell taco that will change the way you look at tacos forever. Other soft-shell taco varieties include smoked chicken and seafood ceviche, all served with Japanese coleslaw, enchiladas sauce and cucumber-jalapeno salsa (yes, that’s a thing, and it’s delicious).
For the tortilla enthusiast, the menu features hand-pressed tortilla masa in three delicious varieties that are difficult to choose from: orange and chili braised beef chuck, banana leaves-wrapped lamb barbacoa and chicken marinated ‘al pastor’ style with cicerone. Other varieties include flat crispy flour tortilla and classic four tortilla. Guests can choose three pieces from one category of the menu for AED68, or a platter of nine pieces for AED200.
Dispensing favourite gin cocktails threenights a week, the Gin Fizz beverage truck welcomes you to enjoy the one and only Blooming Hills Gin Fizz, available in rhubarb as well as lemon and rosemary flavours. If you are after a rather unique tipple, the team at Hidden Bar has handcrafted four infusions with a hint of spice that pair perfectly with tacos:Guajillo and Agave, Jalapeno, El Aguacate and Barbary Fig and Agave that’ll be difficult to part ways with at the end of the evening.
