Families and friends are invited to make the most of their long Ramadan evenings by trying something new with the Desert Waves experience.
As the only desert resort in the UAE to offer visitors the chance to learn how to surf amongst rolling desert dunes, guests are invited to ride the waves on the state-of-the-art Flow Rider machine. Supervised by expert instructors, the exciting one-hour experience is followed by a decadent suhoor, staged within the remarkable Al Mabeet Desert Camp.
As a tribute to the nation’s rich and fascinating heritage, guests are invited to relax and refuel with a sumptuous suhoor, complemented by the traditional Arabian tent setup. The authentic decorations and artefacts along with the desert activities further add to the feel that guests have entered an exclusive Bedouin escape, while the roaring bonfire and the resort’s Arabian horses and camels further add to the magic.
The irresistible à la carte suhoor menu spans a scrumptious selection of the most delicious Arabic and Levantine flavours, including colourful hot and cold mezze, fresh and crunchy salads, heart-warming soups, grilled meat and seafood, plus favourite main courses like shrimp in harra sauce and chicken molokhia.
Guests can conclude their relaxing evening with traditional sweet desserts such as kunafa and classic umm ali, while an extensive menu of flavourful shisha is available to order until 1am.
The Desert Waves and Suhoor at Al Mabeet Desert Camp experience is available daily throughout the month of Ramadan from 8pm to 1am, priced at AED 1,200 for a one-hour Desert Waves session and suhoor for up to six people.
Horseback Riding and Suhoor
Proud to have its own stables filled with majestic and beautiful Arabian horses, the desert resort is inviting animal lovers and adventurous spirits to experience the resort’s grounds on a horseback throughout Ramadan.
The beloved horses are led by expert guides making the experience suitable for all abilities and ages. Riding under the starry night sky is an unforgettable experience that instills an instance sense of calm and contentment, and it provides a wonderful way of learning more about the natural landscape and added appreciation for the heritage of the Bedouins.
After the magical one-hour horse ride is complete, guests are encouraged to refuel their energy levels with a tranquil suhoor at Al Mabeet Desert Camp. Set within a stunning Bedouin-inspired luxurious camp, diners can choose from an extensive collection of seasonal favourites such as freshly baked manakish and authentic Emirati specialties, plus an array of international recipes inspired by the world’s most vibrant cuisines.
The Horseback Riding and Suhoor at Al Mabeet Desert Camp experience is available daily throughout the month of Ramadan from 8pm to 1am, priced AED 400 per person for a one-hour ride followed by suhoor.
