This August, The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort is introducing a whole range of wonderful experiences for guests. Crabs & Curries at Sontaya *new*
Sontaya, Abu Dhabi’s most authentic Southeast Asian Restaurant, is inviting guests to savour the best crab and curry dishes from across the region. Served alongside the already extensive range of à la carte delicacies, the Crabs & Curries menu stars an exceptional selection of tempting and flavoursome creations.
Starting in the crab section, shellfish fans can delight in expertly crafted recipes like fried soft-shell crab with citrus butter, baked mud crab with vermicelli, blue crab yellow curry and wok-fried crab.
Further delicious main courses can also be found in the choice of curries, with each specialty showcasing the best aromatic spice combinations and traditional cooking techniques of South East Asian cuisine. Diners are presented with a choice of meat and seafood dishes, including tiger prawn choo chee, king fish in dry red curry, esaan chicken curry and Indonesian wagyu beef short ribs curry.

Seafood Night with molluscs and cephalopods at Olea * enhanced *
Bringing the most sensational spread of fish and shellfish imaginable to Saadiyat Island every Thursday and Friday evening, Olea restaurant’s Seafood Night is presenting some extra special mollusc and cephalopod dishes during the month of August.
Starring a superb range of recipes inspired by cuisines from across the globe, guests are invited to sample delicacies such as creamy clam chowder, octopus with fried potatoes and basil, squid stuffed with Spanish rice, Korean-style cuttlefish, Mussels marinara crock pot, calamari tempura and scallop and saffron risotto.
Further themed specialties can be found in the vast cold seafood display, including mussels, clams, baby octopus, cuttlefish and Pacific razor clams, while calamari and octopus can also be cooked to order on the live grill. Finally, in honour of the occasion, the fresh oyster trolley will be delivering shellfish flavoured with pomegranate vinaigrette or Bloody Mary, direct to every table.
Meanwhile, the remainder of the vast buffet will continue to provide exceptional appetisers starring colourful sashimi and sushi, crunchy salads, terrines and pates, antipasti, ceviche and more, plus hot specials like BBQ beef ribs, carved roast beef, salmon wrapped in banana leaves, rosemary chicken and fish tagine
Finally, those with a sweet tooth won’t want to miss out on the sumptuous collection of desserts. Live stations boasting churros and chocolate fountains are joined by countless varieties of international cakes and puddings, plus creamy ice creams with fabulous toppings.

The Botanist Dinner at Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi *new*
This August, Abu Dhabi’s most stylish hotspot is presenting an unmissable evening of exceptional fusion cuisine and sensational mixed drinks. Held in partnership with Rémy Cointreau Group, The Botanist Dinner at Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi will feature an exclusive three-course set menu dinner, and a fine selection of Botanist Gin cocktails.
Kneal Brown, luxury spirits ambassador for the UAE and Oman, will be the honoured host for the evening. After greeting guests with a welcome drink, he will continue to provide diners with a superb selection of creative cocktails and gin and tonic mixes throughout their meal.
Taking place on Wednesday, August 18, the pleasurable evening begins with a choice of cold starters (limeno ceviche or veggie rolls), plus a hot appetiser (beef anticucho or vegetable anticucho). Then, for the main courses, the expert chefs are pulling out all the stops and producing two wonderful specials: toothfish sudado and wagyu stiploin chalaquita, followed by a delicious sweet coconut dessert, starring coconut cube cake, fruit compote, caramelised pineapple and lime and ginger sorbet.
Available for up to 25 people only, reservations for The Botanist Dinner are mandatory. Taking place on Wednesday, August 18 from 8pm onwards, the special experience is priced at AED 350 per person.

Manhattan Nights at the Manhattan Lounge
Classic and stylish, the Manhattan Lounge is transporting guests to the United States of America every Wednesday evening for a sophisticated Manhattan Nights experience. In honour of the occasion, the chic bar will be decked out to represent an authentic American restaurant, complete with elegantly dressed dining tables to set the mood.
Offering a three-course set menu of USA-inspired classics, the journey starts with a light and tasty avocado and corn salad. Guests then have the option of choosing between roasted rib marinated in penja pepper sauce, USDA prime T-bone steak or the mighty Manhattan burger with hand-cut fries.
